Board of Directors
As a non-profit, RoundtableRx is governed by a voluntary, multi-disciplinary Board. Our Directors provide the organization with strategic guidance and oversight.
Rowan Mahon, PharmD, MPH, MHI, RPh
Dr. Mahon previously served as the volunteer Managing Director of RoundtableRx. As co-founder, Dr. Mahon volunteers her time as a board member and leader of the organization's legislative advocacy.
Marsha Millonig, BPharm, RPh, MBA
Marsha K. Millonig, BPharm, MBA is Founder and owner of Catalyst Enterprises, LLC, a health care consulting practice dedicated to creating change by helping clients achieve strategies for improved health outcomes.
Norrie Thomas, PhD, MS, RPh
Dr. Norrie Thomas, PhD, MS, RPh (Pharmacy Emeritus), serves as the Board Chair for RoundtableRx. Dr. Thomas is a former Adjunct Professor at the College of Pharmacy and Senior Fellow at the Center for Leading Healthcare Change at the University of Minnesota. She has also served as the Executive Vice President at ActiveRadar.
Sarah Derr, PharmD, RPh
Dr. Sarah Derr serves as the Past Chair for RoundtableRx's Board of Directors. Dr. Derr brings her extensive experience in leadership to her role. Dr. Derr previously served as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Pharmacists Association. She has also served as the Director of Medication Management at an innovative and quality improvement organization, the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative.
Mary MacCarthy, MBA
Mary MacCarthy MBA is an independent startup, financing, and investing consultant and teaches at the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas. She also served as the original Board Chair for RoundtableRx until 2022.
Tanner Fuchs, MBA
Tanner Fuchs is a Senior Manager in Business Development and Strategy at Medtronic and was a member of the student team responsible for founding RoundtableRx. Tanner brings his experience in leadership and finance with him in his leadership role as one of RoundtableRx's longest-standing Board members.
Sarah M Westberg, PharmD, FCCP, BCPS
Dr. Sarah Westberg is currently Associate Dean for Professional Affairs and a Professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota. She graduated with her Pharm.D. from Drake University, completed a Pharmaceutical Care Leadership Residency at the University of Minnesota, and then joined the University of Minnesota faculty. During her career she has provided comprehensive medication management services in family medicine, internal medicine, and women’s health clinics. She is dedicated to teaching future pharmacists to provide patient-centered care and works passionately to increase the opportunities and sustainability of pharmacists services to improve the health and lives of our patients and communities. Dr. Westberg serves as an Observer on the RoundtableRx Board of Directors on behalf of the University.
Andrew Morrow
At the University of Minnesota, Andrew negotiates licenses that create start-up companies with products and services utilizing University patents, trademarks, copyrights, and technical expertise. Currently, Andrew serves on RoundtableRx's Board as the Secretary.
Anna Grossbach, DNP, RN, PHN, MBA (c)
With a career spanning direct care, supply chain management, three startups, healthcare insurance, and employee benefits consulting, Dr. Anna Grossbach brings a multifaceted perspective to the Board's mission. Her honors undergraduate (nursing and psychology) and doctorate (health innovation & leadership/ nursing administration) degrees are from the University of Minnesota and she is presently pursuing her MBA from the University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign to deepen her abilities to use business, technology and entrepreneurship to improve human life.
Bruce Schmaltz, CPA
Bruce is an experienced chief financial officer with work and volunteer experience in the nonprofit sector. He currently serves as Vice Chair and Treasurer for RoundtableRx.
Luqman Lawal, MD, MPH, MBA
A physician, public health professional, and a global health expert. He earned his medical degree from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, a master's degree in public health from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, and a master's degree in business administration at MIT Sloan School of Management. He has worked to advance healthcare for the most vulnerable population in over seventy low and middle-income countries.
Kristin Taylor, CPA Inactive, MBA
Kristin is the CFO of Light Line Medical, Inc with prior experience in the pharmacy benefit manager system and holds an MBA and a BSB Accounting, both from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Kristin brings her ample experience in finance & leadership to the RoundtableRx Board of Directors.
Rashmi Kandwal, PhD, MBA
Dr. Rashmi Kandwal serves as the Executive Director at HealthcareMN, an organization committed to advancing healthcare innovation in Minnesota. In this role, Dr. Kandwal leads initiatives to cultivate a collaborative community, establish valuable connections, and provide education to healthcare innovators within the region. Throughout her diverse career, Dr. Kandwal has adeptly worn various hats, demonstrating expertise in consulting, project management, academia, and market research. In her most recent position, Dr. Kandwal served as a consultant at The Innova Group, developing marketing strategies for healthcare systems.
